Supporting Wheelchair Using Pilots

Summer Success at Two Two Fly

On the 6th May, I will be attempting the UK “3 Peaks Challenge” along with a few friends.

For those of you who don’t know what the 3 Peaks Challenge is, it’s attempting to climb the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales all in the space of 24 hours. Those mountains are respectively Ben Nevis (1344 meters), Scafell Pike (978 meters) and Mount Snowdon (1085 meters).

You’re probably wondering why I want to climb all of these mountains, and in such a short period of time. I do after all regularly fly and in many respects that is much more comfortable and safer.

Last year some of you will recall I had one of my C42’s adapted so I am able to teach wheelchair using pilots.

My ambition is to raise enough money so that my second C42 is also accessible to use for aspiring pilots that use wheelchairs. I really want to make flying as accessible as possible for as many people as possible and I know that this is one way that I can do it.

We have already been pledged [X] wheelchairs that can be used as the various airfields I fly in and out of whilst training pilots, which is fantastic.

However to get the second C42 fully wheelchair accessible is going to cost £[Y]. I would really appreciate any help and support you’re able to give in either donations, or spreading this message to your friends and family.

If you’d like to support me and the rest of the team climbing, please drop me a line here or give me a ring on 07791 025 943 so I can add you to my sponsorship form!
